I would love to win a copy of this book! Since I recently got to see the latest Emma adaptation, I'd love to revisit Emma & Mr. Knightley as a married couple, investigating a murder no less! :) ruthellenanderson (at) gmail (dot) com Thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteBoth your review and that of another blogger have made me want to read this novel and I'd love to win a copy of it. Like Ruth, I too would love to see the relationship of Emma and Mr. Knightley as a married couple. I also want to find out why Mr. Blunt made Mrs. Bates tongue-tied! ;)

That's fantastic! Thanks very much, MG, I'm looking forward to reading it. Ciao. A.
ReplyDeleteI have not found an Emma sequel that I like and this book had caught my complete attention. Nothing like a good mystery to run the blood... Thank you for your time! ^_^

Mr Darcy and Elizabeth were my favourite couple ever. Add to that Emma and Mr. Knightley. The mix is awesome.
ReplyDeleteMs Bebris's books were my first introduction to Austen fan fiction genre. I would love to win this book. Please count me in.

Well, I'd like to read The intrigue at Highbury because of your very good review, MG :)
ReplyDeleteAnd also because I'm pretty sure that the not-so-good impression I got from reading the first novel of Ms Bebris wasn't her fault, but mostly due to the poor Italian translation.
The whole idea of revisiting Jane Austen's characters and bringing them together is brilliant. I can see Elizabeth in her quiet manner making her deductions and Darcy efficiently working to make things happen.
ReplyDeleteI had not heard of this series, but will definitely be getting them soon. I know a few other Janites who will enjoy these. Will be spreading the word.

I think any Jane Austen fan wishes she had written and published more novels. I know there have been quite a few attempts to continue her stories but this one written by a fan who appears to understand her writing and the period, seems as if it would be close to what we could have expected had Jane actually written.
ReplyDeleteSo I would love to get the book and see if it is as good as it sounds.
Thank you.

Jane Austen's novels created as a mystery and with her characters the Darcys and the Knightleys altogether this should an interesting read.
ReplyDeleteI want to read it count me in, thanks.
Hope I'm not too late for this. I would love to be entered in this giveaway. The reason is I would love to know how the different couples work together to solve this mystery.
